Senior Health and Safety Advisor - Renewable Infrastructure
Advertised location: Sydney NSW. This role supports regional renewable construction; travel and the project roster apply as described below.

Our client is an engineering and construction business working across transport defence and major infrastructure. It combines project delivery expertise with a focus on collaboration technical improvement and sustainable outcomes.
The Opportunity
Provide senior safety advice on a solar infrastructure project in the NSW Upper Hunter Valley supporting the project Safety Manager and delivery teams. This is a rostered site-based DIDO position with accommodation and allowances where applicable.
Your Responsibilities
Review risk registers and safety plans and implement integrated management-system controls.
Coach contractors on safe work methods permits inductions pre-starts and plant checks.
Coordinate training emergency procedures and competence verification.
Inspect high-risk work equipment and site records and support fitness-for-work monitoring.
Prepare management-system audits reports and corrective-action tracking.
Support incident prevention and practical collaboration with project stakeholders.
Requirements
Skills Education and Requirements
A diploma or advanced diploma in HSE Business or a related discipline is essential; a related degree is preferred.
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety and a current C-class drivers licence.
At least six years as an HSE practitioner.
A return-to-work coordinator certificate.
Training and assessment quality/safety lead internal auditor and lead ICAM credentials are desirable.
Knowledge of statutory requirements across jurisdictions.
Experience in audits corrective-action reporting and delivery of safety training.
Effective communication and leadership.
