Senior Clinician will improve outcomes for consumers who have offending risks/problem behavioursand mental illness and theirfamilies and carers through:Improving access to Forensicares specialist forensic mental health carestrengtheningreferral pathways andprovidingtransition support between specialist mental health care correctional services and the capability of key local services to manage offending risks of consumers and appropriately refer consumers for specialist assessment and of Thomas Embling Hospital to ensureconsumers transitioning to live in the communityare :Proactively develop and maintain professional relationships with the relevant AMHWS and forensic clinical develop links with other mental health and social support services who provide services required to meet the needs of consumers and/or require forensic mental health specialist primary secondary and tertiary consultation services for AMHWS and other key stakeholders including advanced specialist forensic mental health assessments risk assessments reports and advice on the assessment and management of complex forensic mental health to consumer risk management plans in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary Care Coordination for Serious Offenders who require ongoing mental health treatment and case management ofconsumers on extendedleavefrom Thomas Embling supervision of consumers under a Non-Custodial SupervisionOrder disposition under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act 1997Support people transitioning from prisons to the You:Experience working in forensic mental health including forensic mental health risk assessment care planning and service withstrongclinical experienceworkingforAreaMental Health & WellbeingServices(AMHWS)and a motivation to developforensic mental health skillsare encouraged to minimum 5-year post registration mental health ability to undertake comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments and to plan implement and evaluate clinical commitment to mental health consumer recovery and person-centeredand family/carer inclusive care incorporating consumer and family and carer perspectives into service knowledge experience:This isamultidisciplinary role that requiresa relevant tertiary qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate Board or Association as a Registered Nurse Psychologist Social Worker or Occupational qualifications required for each discipline are:Registered Nurse RPN4:Must have current unrestricted registration with AHPRA and a post-graduate qualification in mental health nursing or Grade 3:General registration with AHPRAMasters or Doctorate qualifications (Clinical Forensic or Neuropsychology)Eligibility for (or enrolled in) an Area of Practice Endorsement in clinical psychology clinical neuropsychology and/or forensic Worker Grade 3:Tertiary qualifications in Social Work coupled with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).Occupational Therapist Grade 3:Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulations Agency (AHPRA).Approved degree in Occupational Therapy and recognised for
