Your Role

As aSenior Financial Accountantyoullbe a key point of contact for the Finance team providing expert financial accounting statutory reporting governancecomplianceand business support within a complex infrastructure project environment.

Youll:

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of half-year and annual financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes external audits financial controls taxationrequirementsand governance frameworks.
  • Oversee capital accounting fixed assetmanagementand project expenditure reporting ensuring compliance with accounting standards andorganisationalpolicies.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial systems reporting processes and controls identifyingopportunities to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
  • Provide financial insight and accounting advice to support decision-making across the business and contribute to BoardExecutiveand Committee reporting.
  • Lead and mentor accounting team members fostering a culture of high performancecollaborationand continuous improvement.

  • CPA or CAqualification.
  • Significant experienceinfinancial management financialaccountingor senior accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards statutorycomplianceand governance requirements.
  • Experience managing external audits taxation obligations financialcontrolsand financial reporting processes.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering process improvements systemsenhancementsand change initiatives within a finance environment.
  • Experience working in complex project or infrastructure environments with rigorous governance and stakeholder scrutiny.
  • Strong analytical problem-solvingand stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Highproficiencyin financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
