As an Electrical Primary Engineer in our Energy team basedin Perthyoullcontributetoprojects and programs thatmake a real difference and be part ofateamthat embraces challenges welcomes diverse ideas and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.

• Deliver high-voltage substation primary designs up to 330kV including layouts general arrangements and key electrical diagrams

• Specify and select primary plant equipment including transformers switchgear instrument transformers surge arresters and busbar systems

• Perform engineering studies and calculations across areas such as earthing insulation coordination lightning protection and conductor design

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe reliable and constructable solutions for utility mining and infrastructure clients

• Lead technical reviews support design approvals and provide engineering input through construction testing and commissioning phases

• Apply Western Power Australian Standards and relevant industry requirements to deliver compliant and high-quality outcomes

• A degree in Electrical Engineering and experience delivering HV substation primary design projects within Australia

• Proven capability in substation design equipment specification and engineering calculations for transmission and distribution networks

• Experience working to Western Power requirements and/or delivering projects for utility mining or industrial network operators

• Strong technical communication skills with the ability to prepare design reports specifications and client-facing documentation

• A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams

• Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes for clients and stakeholders
