Job Summary

Senior Cyber Security Analyst

  • Role: Ongoing full-time (35hpw)
  • Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10. Packageincludes base salary ($133348- $146945)plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • Location: Bathurst with hybrid working conditions anda50% office working arrangements may be available in line with the DCS Flexible Working Policy.

About the role

We arecurrently seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst. The successful applicant will join theCyber Technical CentreTeamwho are at the forefront of cyber defence. Workingclosely with a small team of penetration testers you will be required to bringyour cyber security expertise and apply it to coordinating relevant penetrationtesting services for external entities ensuring efficient use of resources. Inaddition to this you will be required to assist the wider team in a variety ofcyber security tasks including acting as an escalation point when required.

About you

  • You are an experienced cyber security professional with a strong knowledge of cyber security standards frameworks and terminology.
  • You will bring your experience in coordinating cyber security engagements with the ability to communicate successfully with a wide variety of customers striving for results.
  • Be able to adapt quickly continually working to keep your knowledge and skills up to date.
  • Have well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactively manage your own workloads and tasks.
  • Have experience in providing advice to stakeholders (around vulnerability and security risk management is desirable)
  • Have a good understanding of ICT terminology and concepts network protocols cyber-attack concepts.
  • Understand different penetration testing types and be able to identify the appropriate methodology given client requirements.

Essentialrequirements

  • Tertiary qualificationsorequivalent professional experienceinCyber Security or an adjacent field.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen with an ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance and willingness to undergo a criminal history and identity verification and ongoing probity checks as a condition of employment.

The Cyber Technical Centre primarilybased in Bathurst provides expert technical advice and analysis to both otherinternal teams and external entities. The team provides a range of externalofferings in the cyber security space uplifting security across the widergovernment area. The team operates from within the Cyber Security Defence andCapability directorate.
