As our Senior Criminal Administration Officer you wont just keep things organised youll be at the centre of a busy Criminal Law team helping to coordinate administrative services support solicitors mentor and guide administration staff and ensure our clients receive an accessible professional and efficient service.

What youll be doing

No two days will look the same. You will:

  • Help lead and support the Criminal Administration team.
  • Mentor train and guide junior administration staff.
  • Coordinate criminal law referrals across offices and with external agencies.
  • Support the collection of data and statistics across NAAJAs Criminal Law practice.
  • Support lawyers and the Criminal Law team with efficient accurate and high-quality administration.
  • Be a key point of contact for clients staff the private profession and external agencies.
  • Help ensure consistency in administrative processes and service delivery across the Territory.

About You

Youre an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to keep people priorities and processes on track.

Youll bring:

  • Strong administrative organisational and time-management skills.
  • Experience supporting and guiding other team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence working with clients and a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in reception file management and general office procedures.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer and typing skills.
  • A genuine understanding of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures communities and the issues impacting people within the justice system.
