Your Role

As a SeniorCorporate Counsel Project Delivery youll be a key point of contact forthe Legal & Governance team providing high-quality independent andtimely commercial legal advice to support the delivery of the Marinus LinkProject.

Youll:

  • Provide fit-for-purpose commerciallegal advice across project delivery activities including the preparationreview negotiation and administration of contracts and other legal documents.
  • Support the Project Delivery team byadvising on contractual regulatory governance and risk matters relating toproject construction financing approvals and delivery activities.
  • Manage relationships with internalstakeholders contractual counterparties regulators government agencies andexternal legal advisors to support effective project outcomes.
  • Coordinate external legal advisorsincluding preparing scopes of work managing budgets and monitoring thedelivery of legal services.
  • Assist with the development andmaintenance of contract administration guidance precedents processes andlegal support frameworks.
  • Identify and manage legal risks byproviding practical solutions and supporting informed decision-making acrossthe project.

For a copyof the Position Description outlining the key responsibilities of this rolevisit the link here: degree in Law and a currentVictorian or Tasmanian legal practising certificate (or eligibility foradmission in Victoria or Tasmania).

  • A minimum of 7 years postqualification legal experience gained within private practice or an in-housecommercial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providingcommercial legal advice and supporting large infrastructure project delivery.
  • Strong contract negotiation draftingand interpretation skills with the ability to provide practical commerciallyfocused advice.
  • The ability to work autonomouslymanage competing priorities and confidently engage with senior stakeholdersacross a complex project environment.
  • Exceptional communicationinfluencing and relationship-building skills with the ability to build trustwith both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting electricitygeneration transmission infrastructure or major capital projects will behighly regarded.
  • A high level of computer literacy.
