The Opportunity
Were looking for a passionate Senior CorporateCommunications Officer (Road Safety) to join our Corporate Communications team.
This newly created role will lead thedevelopment and delivery of impactful communications and marketing initiativesthat educate the community about road safety and ultimately help save lives.

Working closely with the Road Safety Policy andReform directorate youll apply your expertise in communicationsmarketing and behaviour change to design and deliver targeted campaigns thatinfluence attitudes and behaviours. Youll lead research and communicationsprojects craft compelling messaging and produce high-quality content across arange of channels and audiences.

Aboutyou
Strategic communicator: You are astrategic thinker and can effectively develop and deliver integratedcommunication and marketing strategies and activities for diverse community andstakeholder audiences based on research and best practice.
Behaviour change wordsmith: You have strong writing and editing skillswith the ability to turn behavioural insights into impactful road safety messagingthat resonates with audiences and drives safer behaviours.
Results driven: You have exceptional project planning and time managementskills and have a flair for producing results-driven communications activitiesthat align with priorities and engage diverse audiences.
Collaborative team player: You have high-level interpersonal skills andseek opportunities to build meaningful relationships trust credibility andconfidence with internal clients strategic networks and stakeholders.
Experience in roadsafety communications research and/or behaviour change initiatives will behighly regarded.

Qualifications/Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in communications or public relations orequivalent industry experience is essential.
- Experience in road safety communications research and/or behaviour change initiatives will be highly regarded.
Special Conditions
- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
- Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.
Remuneration
ASO6 - $105747 to $111854 per annum superannuation
