Were looking for a Senior Communications Advisor to join our Corporate Affairs team and lead the way in telling one of the most important stories of our time how New South Wales is responding to climate change and progressing toward a net zero future. This is not just another communications role its an opportunity to influence how government connects with communities partners and stakeholders on issues that matter deeply to peoples lives livelihoods and environment.

In this role youll take the lead on designing and delivering strategic customer-focused communications that bring complex climate and sustainability programs to life. Youll lead a small high-performing team of marketing and communications professionals creating an environment where collaboration creativity and clarity thrive. Together you will translate audience insights data behaviours and needs into impactful and compelling strategies and campaigns that resonate and drive action. You will help make government initiatives more accessible relatable and effective.

Working closely with senior leaders cross-agency partners and external stakeholders you will influence decision-making and bring cohesion to multi-channel multi-agency communications efforts. Your ability to build trusted relationships and provide sound strategic advice will be key as you support executives working groups and key initiatives across the Energy Climate Change and Sustainability portfolio.

About You
This is a role for a passionate and confident communicator and natural leader someone who can navigate complexity inspire a team and deliver high-quality outcomes with limited supervision. You bring a track record of advising senior stakeholders leading small teams and driving communication strategies that are both insightful and impactful. You are equally comfortable zooming out to think strategically and diving into the detail to ensure every campaign delivers measurable results.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in communications or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience
