About us

DHA was established in 1988 following passage of the Defence Housing Australia Act 1987 (DHA Act) to provide adequate and suitable housing for and housing related services to members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families. We remain committed to our purpose of providing housing and housing related services to ADF members and their families to support Defences operational needs.

DHA manages an expanding portfolio of housing solutions and provides housing for over 17200 ADF members and their families and administers rent allowance for more than 16000 ADF members and their families in private rental accommodation. DHA provides housing related services advising on eligibility providing posting support and managing bookings and allocation services for all DHA provisioned housing and on-base accommodation to approximately 60000 ADF members.

About your team

DHAs Communication and Media team help to shape the stories that matter. As part of a collaborative team of communication specialists youll develop impactful content drive engagement across a range of channels and provide strategic advice that supports DHAs mission. Working across media digital brand and communication initiatives youll have the opportunity to influence meaningful outcomes and connect with diverse audiences.

About the role

Join DHA as a Senior Communication Adviser and help tell the stories that this influential role youll develop compelling content deliver strategic communication initiatives and provide expert advice that supports key organisational priorities.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business youll create communication that engages audiences builds understanding and delivers results.
