Senior Business Coordinator

An exciting opportunity as a Senior Business Coordinator has arisen within Building Commission NSWs Licensing and Accreditation directorate. The Senior Business Coordinator will play a key role in driving innovation and business improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage innovative solutions across licensing assessment processes. Working closely with operational teams business stakeholders and technology partners the role will analyse existing workflows identify inefficiencies and support the design and implementation of improved assessment solutions. The Senior Business Coordinator will provide expert advice coordinate project and business improvement activities and ensure solutions align with legislative operational and customer service requirements.

This role will suit an individual with extensive knowledge of licensing application and assessment processes and the ability to provide expert advice on processes that can be enhanced to improve efficiency and outcomes.

In this role you will:

• Demonstrate experience in effectively interpreting and applying a wide range of legislation regulations policies and case law including the Home Building Act 1989 the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 and any other relevant legislation to provide accurate advice support decision-making and ensure consistent and compliant assessment outcomes
• In-depth knowledge of licensing application and assessment processes with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
• Provide specialist advice and support to the team management and stakeholders on relevant legislation systems policies and procedures including opportunities to improve.
• Proven ability to analyse business processes and provide expert recommendations on process redesign and process transformation initiatives.
• Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills when determining matters of varying complexity.
• Proven experience working on projects and initiatives effectively managing competing priorities risks and project milestones.
• Experience leading or supporting continuous improvement and innovation programs driving sustainable operational and customer service improvements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs and operational challenges into practical and sustainable solutions.
• Demonstrated capability to support change management and business readiness activities fostering adoption of new technologies and ways of working.
• Proven experience actively participating in and contributing to working groups providing subject matter expertise and supporting the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
• Ability to coordinate business improvement initiatives from concept through to implementation ensuring benefits are realised and aligned with business objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear documentation reports and draft business requirements.
