About this role

Our growing Private Enterprise team is looking for a business services accountant to join our vibrant friendly Brisbane office as a Senior Associate Partner Tax.

In this distinctive and challenging role you will be part of a specialised team completing tax returns for Grant Thorntons Partners and for investment entities with a focus on tax compliance and tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the firms Partners in meeting their accounting and tax compliance requirements including timely preparation of financial statements and income tax returns

• Assist with accounting tax advisory and tax planning matters

• Build strong relationships with Partners and other stakeholders whilst observing discretion and confidentiality

• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation that may affect the firms Partners

Skills and experience

• Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce Accounting or Finance or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)

• Have commenced (or planning to commence) a CA qualification

• A minimum of 3 years professional experience in business and tax advisory within a chartered accounting setting

• Interest in working with professionals and investment entities

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with a desire to go above and beyond to delight your customers

• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment
