The Opportunity

We are currently seeking aSeniorAnalyst to join our national Data Analytics team based in ourMelbourneoffice. The ideal candidate will have1-2 yearsof data analytics experience and a passion for all things data.

Our Data Analytics team bring together the disciplines of computer science mathematics statisticseconometricsand financial accounting with decades of combined cross-industry experience. Our team works following a robust and structuredmethodologytoidentifyall the relevant inputs and transform them into actionable solutions that will meet the requirements and add value to our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work withpartners and senior members of the data analytics teamto define problems and prioritise business and information needs;

  • Develop data collection systems andacquiredata from primary or secondary sourcesto support our work;

  • Conduct a quality assurance process to address any data issuesencountered;

  • Developing diagnostic descriptivepredictiveor prescriptive models to provide solutions and satisfy clientstakeholderand/or project requirements;

  • Use analytical tools toexaminelarge and complex datasets toidentifytrendspatternsand anomalies and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations

  • Interpretdata sets and derive insights paying particular attention to trends and patterns valuable to provide impactful conclusions andrecommendations.

  • Designing and developing effectiveinteractiveand impactfuldashboardsutilising Power BI.

  • Support the Forensic team on investigations disputespayrollcalculationsandotheradvisory matters by providing robust defensible analytical outputs.

About you

  • A graduate of aSTEMrelateddegree witha strong foundationin quantitative and analytical disciplines.

  • Possess a genuine passion and understanding of the data analytics activities including datacollection data cleansingmodellingandvisualisation;

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability toobtain insights fromsignificant amounts of data accurately and with strong attention to detail.

  • A methodical and logical problem solver witha high levelof numeracy and mathematical capability.

  • Experience in programming or analytics tools such as Alteryx Python Visual Basic and or SQL.

  • Familiaritywith database management software such as SQLOracleorPostgreSQL;

  • Are familiar with data visualisation toolssuch asPower BI orTableau;

  • Proficient across the Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.

  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently with an understanding of deadlines and competing priorities.
