Whats the role
The Senior Analyst will deliver credit risk reporting for the Westpac Group including prudential statutory and internal management reporting. This includes preparing and reviewing inputs to internal and external credit risk disclosures ensuring compliance with accounting and prudential standards.
The role involves analysing data solving complex problems and delivering high-quality accurate outputs in a proactive self-starting manner. It also includes translating complex data into clear meaningful insights to support decision-making and utilising data visualisation and analytical tools to enhance reporting and stakeholder understanding.
What do I need
You will be expected to deliver time-critical accurate reports covering a complex subject matter addition you will need to read/understand/interpret complex standards/policies write clear reports and communicate complex ideas in plain language. To be successful in this role you will require:
- Experience within the financial services industry
- Strong numerical aptitude with an interest in working with data and maintaining high standards of control and working paper hygiene (particularly in Excel)
- Collaborative and adaptable with the ability to work independently support peak periods and use data automation and emerging tools (including AI) to improve reporting and visualisation
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisation and time management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Curious analytical mindset with a focus on understanding drivers and solving problems
