Shift Availability (Casual): Day Night & Weekend Shifts

Hours: 20 30 hours for the right candidate

NHN Group is seeking highly motivated Maritime & Critical Infrastructure Security Guards to deliver high-standard access control patrol and monitoring services. Role Overview:

  • Monitor and control access at the gatehouse ensuring only authorised personnel and vehicles enter secure zones.
  • Verify compliance and conduct ID and credential checks in line with site protocols.
  • Provide professional consistent coverage at the gatehouse and support shift transitions.
  • Record gatehouse activities and interactions accurately using logbooks or electronic systems.
  • Respond to incidents or access breaches occurring near the gatehouse and follow emergency protocols.
  • Report any operational concerns or suspicious behaviour to the Site Supervisor.
  • Represent the security team with professionalism and courtesy when interacting with users.
  • Conduct scheduled vehicle patrols of the port precinct including perimeter fencing berths storage areas and infrastructure zones.
  • Respond rapidly to alarms breaches or suspicious behaviour during patrols and secure incident scenes as needed.
  • Perform roving access checks to confirm all personnel and vehicles in secure areas are compliant.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patrol and incident reports in line with SOPs.
  • Identify and report trends hazards or improvement areas to enhance the security program.
  • Act as a mobile deterrent to unauthorised access and provide a visible security presence across the site.

About You:

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • A current NSW Security Licence.
  • A valid Provide First Aid Certificate.
  • A current drivers licence and reliable transport.
  • Strong communication and situational awareness skills

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience in maritime or critical infrastructure security
  • Experience in mobile patrol
