What we are looking for:

Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of The Cathedral College. These are full-time positions to commence January 2027.

We welcome applications from registered teachers who can teach in any or a combination of the following subjects:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Industrial Technology and Design
  • Humanities
  • Science

The role of a teacher is to provide quality education and care for secondary school students at The Cathedral College. The ideal candidate understands Catholic Educations mission can design differentiated teaching strategies uses data to guide improvement and collaborates effectively with colleagues parents and the community.

The Cathedral Collegeis a Catholic co-educational Secondary Boarding College with Catholic Education in the Diocese of College aims to deliver a holistic Catholic Education where academic excellence goes hand in hand with spiritual emotional physical cultural and social development.

The College is built in the shadow of St Josephs Cathedral and welcomes189Boarders from across Central Queensland and beyond enriching the College community.1330students are enrolled and all are invited to respond to Jesus Christs message to come live life in all its fullness.

Girls Boarding is located a short distance from the College in Agnes Street and Boys Boarding is situated on the College site in Derby Street. Our Boarders are an integral part of the College and enrich College life.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
