About the Role

We are looking for a Secondary Design Engineer to join our growing Engineering team and help expand our in-house secondary design capability.

Working on zone substation transmission and distribution projects across Victoria youll support major clients including AusNet and Jemena delivering critical infrastructure that powers homes businesses and communities.

This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle from design and planning through to commissioning and project delivery. Youll work alongside experienced engineers across multiple disciplines broaden your technical expertise and play a key role in shaping our growing engineering capability.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Deliver secondary design solutions for substation transmission and distribution projects
• Prepare and review protection drawings schematics calculations and design documentation
• Manage project scope schedules budgets and design deliverables
• Support commissioning construction and technical problem-solving activities
• Collaborate with clients project teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes

About You

You are a collaborative and solutions-focused engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and working with others to deliver meaningful outcomes. Youll bring:

• A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Experience delivering secondary designs for zone substations transmission and distribution networks
• Strong knowledge of protection systems secondary systems and substation design principles
• Experience using AutoCAD PSCAD ETAP or similar industry design software
• Strong stakeholder communication and project management skills

Experience working within Victorian electricity networks will be highly regarded.
