About the role

As a Scheduling Technical Officer you will be attached to our Osborne Park Head Office and primarily work from our Subiaco WWTP this role you will develop and manage weekly and fortnightly work schedules that optimise resources support operational priorities and ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely and efficiently.

As part of the Treatment & Resource Recovery (TARR) Planning & Scheduling Team you will primarily support the Waste Water North region while also contributing to wider Planning & Scheduling activities across TARR. Working closely with Operations and Maintenance leaders planners and field teams you will ensure work is appropriately prioritised scheduled and balanced to achieve business and performance objectives.

What you can expect with this role

  • Develop and manage weekly and fortnightly work schedules ensuring maintenance and operational activities are delivered safely efficiently and in line with business priorities.
  • Prioritise and coordinate preventative corrective statutory and regulatory maintenance activities based on asset criticality operational impacts and resource availability.
  • Monitor and manage work orders through their lifecycle ensuring work packages are ready for delivery and corporate KPI targets are achieved.
  • Collaborate with planners team leaders and operational teams to balance workloads optimise resource utilisation and address scheduling constraints.
  • Analyse work management data productivity trends and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing scheduling practices work management processes and the quality of planning and resource data.

Your skills and experience

For this role we are looking for great talent with:

  • Considerable experience in scheduling and/or planning maintenance and operational activities within a large asset-intensive organisation.
  • Strong experience in field-based operations and maintenance environments with a sound understanding of asset reliability and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar work management systems with the ability to effectively manage monitor and prioritise work activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data identify trends and implement solutions that improve operational performance and business outcomes.
  • Well-developed organisational analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands.
  • Strong communication stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with experience collaborating across planning operations and maintenance teams.
