Role Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Integration Architect with expertise in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and SAP Integration Suite to lead integration efforts for an S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation. The role involves designing and delivering robust scalable and secure integration solutions tailored to the needs of an education services client in Australia.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of integration architecture using SAP CPI / Integration Suite for S/4HANA Public Cloud.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to define integration requirements across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Develop and manage iFlows APIs and connectivity using SAP BTP services.
Ensure integration solutions align with SAP Best Practices and education sector compliance standards.
Support fit-to-standard workshops by identifying integration touchpoints and dependencies.
Provide guidance on middleware configuration authentication and data security.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues during testing and post-go live.
Document integration architecture technical specifications and support procedures.
Technical Expertise:
- 12 years of experience in SAP integration with at least 2 full-cycleS4HANA Public Cloud implementations.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP CPI SAP Integration Suite and SAP BTP.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite capabilities including:
- Cloud Integration (CPI)
- API Management
- Integration Advisor
- Open Connectors
- Trading Partner Management
- Event Mesh (preferred)
- Experience developing and managing:
- iFlows
- APIs
- OData Services
- REST APIs
- SOAP Web Services
- IDoc Integrations
- SuccessFactors Integrations
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns middleware concepts and enterprise application integration architecture.
- Experience with SAP BTP services including:
- Destination Service
- Connectivity Service
- Cloud Foundry
- Authorization & Trust Management
- Strong understanding of security protocols and authentication mechanisms including:
- OAuth 2.0
- SAML 2.0
- Basic Authentication
- Client Certificates
- Principal Propagation
- Experience integrating SAP solutions with:
- SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
- SAP SuccessFactors
- SAP Ariba
- SAP Concur
- SAP Fieldglass
- Microsoft platforms
- Third-party SaaS applications
- Experience with XML XSLT JSON Groovy scripting and message mapping techniques.
- Knowledge of error handling monitoring exception management and performance optimization in SAP CPI.
- Experience supporting SIT UAT production deployment and post-go-live support activities.
- Strong documentation stakeholder management analytical and problem-solving skills.
Essential:
- Experience within the Higher Education Public Sector or Government domains.
- Knowledge of SAP Event Mesh and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Experience with SAP Build SAP Workflow and SAP Extension Suite.
Strong consulting and client-facing skills with the ability to engage enterprise architects business stakeholders and leadership teams.
Additional:
SAP Certification in SAP Integration Suite or SAP CPI.
Experience with event-driven architecture API management and cloud security.
Knowledge of Australian education sector standards and integration requirements.
