Sales Performance Analyst

As a Sales Performance Analyst youll be responsible for delivering forecasting modelling and reporting to help deliver highly successful commercial performance for our sales teams and the broader Qantas Group. Youll play a central role in developing and managing a new forecasting framework setting sales budget and targets providing sales teams with their own forward-looking measures to manage and be measured against.

Your accountabilities include:

• Support the development and ongoing management of the sales forecasting framework
• Own elements of the budget and forecast cycle for Sales & Distribution including budget submissions variance analysis against actuals and forward outlook reporting.
• Deliver regular performance reporting to Account Managers across onshore and offshore teams to support customer negotiations and revenue optimisation
• Coordinate and track the progress of commercial initiatives and projects flagging revenue opportunities and risks
• Develop generate automate and maintain commercial insights analysis and reporting that supports short- and long-term strategies across both onshore and offshore sales teams.
• Build strong working relationships across the Sales Performance team and cross-functional partners to support effective delivery of analytical work.

Experience youll need to have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce Finance Business or similar.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar analytical or commercial role a finance background is highly regarded.
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear commercial goals.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
• Preference for experience with Power BI
• A commercially curious mindset and attention to detail comfortable interrogating what the data shows and what that means for the business.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues and competing deadlines under pressure correctly assessing priorities to achieve optimal outcomes for stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience managing varying stakeholder needs and expectations.
