VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.
We have 35 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. About the role
This role of the Workplace Coordinator will support the successful integration of training and assessment within the workplace. The role ensures students receive structured meaningful on-the-job learning experiences and that workplace supervisors understand their responsibilities in supporting competency development in line with the accredited training requirements. This position works in close partnership with the Trainers and Assessors the Management team and the RTO Director in managing compliance supporting students and improving outcomes.
Essential skills/experiences
To be successful in this role you will have at least 3 years experience working in an RTO in a relevant role hold a valid TAE qualification and a sound understanding of the VET sector and ASQA Standards 2025. You will hold relevant vocational qualifications at least to the level of qualification being delivered and assessed from the Aboriginal Health Community Services and/ or Business training packages and demonstrated industry experience relevant to the qualification area.
In addition you will hit the ground running bringing your skills and capabilities in the following areas to help you succeed:
- your engaging personality that will enable you to develop and maintain strong relationships with students their workplace supervisors and other stakeholders
- your ability to manage multiple takes and meet deadlines and
- your skills in ensuring your work is highly organised with a strong attention to detail lens applied to all that you do.
You will also be required to travel to regional areas to support students in regional towns.
