As our Senior RTO Specialist youll play a critical leadership role in ensuring our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) continues to deliver high-quality compliant and industry-leading training that supports the capability of our workforce contractors and the broader energy sector.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced vocational education leader to shape strategy while remaining hands-on in driving compliance quality and continuous improvement across our RTO. Youll work closely with senior leaders to strengthen governance embed best practice and ensure our RTO remains audit-ready and future-focused.
As a trusted subject matter expert youll also act in the capacity of the Leader RTO when required.
Reporting to the Leader RTO you will lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of RTO compliance governance and quality systems. You will ensure our policies procedures and management systems align with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations and evolving VET regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading RTO compliance quality and governance activities to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
- Designing implementing and continuously improving compliance frameworks management systems and quality assurance processes.
- Leading the development review and maintenance of RTO policies procedures and compliance documentation.
- Driving strategic and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen training quality organisational capability and performance.
- Monitoring compliance risk and reporting obligations while ensuring funding and regulatory requirements are met.
Youre an experienced RTO leader who combines deep regulatory expertise with a collaborative leadership style. You enjoy solving complex compliance challenges building strong governance frameworks and influencing positive change across an organisation.
To be successful you will have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or a higher qualification).
- A minimum of 10 years experience leading within a Vocational Education Learning and Development environment.
- Demonstrated experience working within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector with experience in the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) and/or renewable energy sectors highly regarded.
- Submission of a Fit and Proper Person application to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is an essential requirement of this role.
- Extensive knowledge of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations VET legislation national training packages compliance frameworks and regulatory obligations.
- Proven experience designing implementing and maintaining compliance governance and quality assurance systems within an RTO.
- Demonstrated expertise evaluating training programs reviewing policies and ensuring training outcomes meet regulatory requirements.
- Experience leading internal audits regulatory reporting and continuous improvement programs.
- Strong strategic thinking stakeholder engagement and leadership capability with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining current knowledge of emerging VET legislation regulatory reforms and industry best practice.
- Experience preparing funding submissions and supporting financial planning activities within an RTO environment.
