THE POSITION:
- Coordinate workforce rosters and payroll administration for Environmental Services (EVS) and Patient Services Assistant (PSA) departments.
- Develop maintain and publish accurate rosters at least 14 days in advance.
- Manage rostering and payroll enquiries ensuring timely and accurate communication of roster information and changes.
- Coordinate coverage for planned and unplanned absences including leave vacant shifts and operational support requirements.
- Support redeployment shift swaps replacement staffing and escalation of issues to maintain service continuity.
- Monitor roster compliance with Enterprise Agreements Awards fatigue management principles and organisational requirements.
- Validate timesheets payroll inputs leave coding and approvals to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies escalating complex issues when required.
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation reporting and workforce metrics including overtime exceptions and leave utilisation.
- Contribute to workforce rostering payroll projects reporting initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
THE PERSON:
- Experience in workforce rostering staffing coordination payroll administration or similar role within a large complex or dynamic organisation.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Agreements Modern Awards rostering practices overtime penalty rates and payroll compliance.
- Strong organisational time management and prioritisation skills.
- High attention to detail particularly in payroll and roster administration.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with employees management and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee information.
- Ability to analyse workforce data identify trends and prepare reports to support workforce planning decisions.
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively within a multidisciplinary team.
- (Desirable) Experience in healthcare aged care hospitality facilities management or support services.
- (Desirable) Experience using workforce management and payroll systems such as Humanforce Deputy TimeTarget Workday Chris21 Kronos UKG SAP or equivalent.
- (Desirable) Certificate IV or equivalent qualification in Business Administration Human Resources Payroll Administration or related discipline.
