One of our Assistant Centre Managers was just promoted to Centre Manager. That is not a one-off. It is how Stride Early Learning works. Now we need a Room Leader ready to step into her shoes and start their own leadership story.

What the role involves

As Assistant Centre Manager you will step out from one room into leadership across the whole centre working alongside your Centre Manager and picking up real accountability from day one including:

Leading and supporting a team of educators across multiple rooms not just your own

Championing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) across the centre

Acting as Responsible Person in Charge when your Centre Manager is away with a structured training path to feel genuinely ready for it

Building partnerships with families and the local community

Getting hands-on with rostering occupancy and the operational side of running a centre

Leading a strong proactive child safety culture not just following a policy folder

What you will bring

Current experience as a Room Leader or equivalent leadership experience in early childhood education

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards one)

Solid working knowledge of the EYLF and NQS

A genuine demonstrated commitment to child safety and wellbeing

The confidence to lead a team make decisions and step up as Responsible Person in Charge when needed
