Risk & Compliance Manager 12 month secondment

Were looking for a passionate and experienced leader to join Line 1 Risk and Compliance acting as a trusted enabler to this mission by supporting the business to proactively and effectively manage risk. The Line 1 Risk function balances assurance with business enablement providing confidence for the business to move at pace within clear wellunderstood boundaries.

The Risk & Compliance Manager is a senior role that works in close partnership with key stakeholders across Sportsbets Marketing (including Brand Broadcast Partnership Production Social Talent Media and Customer Marketing functions) and Product area to ensure effective risk management that enables Sportsbet to achieve its business objectives.

In this position the Manager will shape a winning culture by:

• Partnering with Marketing and Product initiative owners and stakeholders across Corporate Affairs Legal Line 2 Risk and Compliance and relevant business technology and operational teams to identify and assess risks and to develop and implement appropriate mitigations and controls for complex highimpact initiatives.
• Demonstrating a strong risk and regulatory compliance acumen a businessled mindset and sound professional judgement to navigate complex highprofile environments and drive effective risk control and remediation outcomes.

Role responsibilities

• Works with business technology operational Legal Corporate Affairs and Line 2 Risk and Compliance stakeholders at all levels including senior management to provide relevant risk and compliance-focused advice for the delivery of new initiatives in area(s) of responsibility.
• Provide compliance training and guidance via e-learning modules or ad-hoc guidance.
• Provide risk and compliance insights to Corporate Affairs and Legal for regulatory engagement disputes or legal proceedings.
• Identify document and maintain key operational and regulatory risks within business areas.
• Design review and refine preventive and detective controls to manage those risks leveraging technology including AI and automation where feasible.
• Ensure controls are scalable proportionate and embedded into business processes and systems including any required remediation or uplift.
