Civmecs Gladstone Maintenance division delivers specialised maintenance and shutdown services to refinery and heavy industrial clients in Queensland partnering with operational teams to keep critical assets running safely and efficiently.

Riggers will perform complex rigging and assessments across maintenance shutdowns and project works ensuring safe and precise movement of heavy equipment.

Upcoming Moura Shutdown:
  • Preworks - 28th September
  • Execution - 14th October - 8th November
  • Postshut - 9th November - 20th November
  • 12hr Day & Nightshifts
  • 13: 1 Roster
  • Accommodation and meals provided
The Role
  • Perform rigging tasks across shutdowns and project works
  • Conduct detailed rigging assessments
  • Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings
  • Manoeuvre loads safely through confined spaces
  • Dismantle rigging equipment following completion of tasks
  • Maintain and store rigging equipment correctly
  • Conduct risk assessments prior to commencing tasks
  • Comply with industry safety standards at all times
  • Provide rigging expertise across project works
  • Ensure safe lifting practices throughout all operations
  • Coordinate with crews to complete rigging activities safely
About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • HRWL: RI or RA
  • Construction White Card
  • Work Safely at Heights (highly regarded)
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space(within 2 years of issue)
  • Gas Test Atmospheres(desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years shutdown / site experience
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
  • Additional Tickets will be highly regarded
