Job Summary

Oaks Cairns Hotel are looking for an enthusiastic and service-driven Restaurant Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

This role is essential in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar ensuring exceptional guest experiences efficient service and the development of the Food & Beverage team. The successful candidate will predominantly work evening shifts and must be available to work weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee and ensure smooth efficient and professional daily operations of the restaurant & bar.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the propertys food and beverage offerings to promote to guests.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team during service periods to ensure quality service presentation and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise coach and train Food & Beverage Attendants fostering a high-performing team.
  • Manage staff rostering workflow and service standards to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with RSA hygiene and workplace health & safety standards.
  • Assist with stock control ordering and reporting as required.
  • Drive guest satisfaction service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Expected Hours: Full time 38 hours per week

Salary: $79000 - $82000 (excluding super)

Qualifications :

Successful candidates will have:

  • 12 months supervisory or managerial experience in a similar role.
  • 3 years experience working in a restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Solid understanding of alcohol service (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
  • High level of self-motivation confidence and leadership capability.
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Availability to work evenings weekends and public holidays as required.
