Job Summary

Are you excited by the opportunity to provide a fantastic food and beverage experience to our guests and learning and development for your team At Novotel Melbourne South Wharf creating memorable guest experiences and making guests and team members feel welcome and valued is part of our every day. Weve had an internal move in our team and we are looking for an experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager to lead our service team optimise operations and elevate our guests dining experiences. If you excel in a fast-paced environment can think on your feet enjoy collaboration and know how to drive results we would love to hear from you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee daily operations ensuring smooth and efficient service aligned with business demand
  • Set implement and maintain high service standards driving quality and a consistent guest experience and fostering a culture of excellence
  • Identify revenue opportunities manage costs effectively and optimise workplace efficiency through roster management and inventory control
  • Lead and develop your team through targeted training performance evaluations and mentorship
  • Collaborate with our Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Review guest feedback regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments
  • Recruit and induct new team members who align with our standards and values ensuring a high level of guest engagement and satisfaction
  • Utilise and maintain operational systems including Micros and Purchase to streamline service and enhance controls
  • Ensure WH&S and sustainability commitments are understood and activated within the department

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in leading and managing a successful team in a high-volume restaurant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks multitask and work effectively in a team environment
  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude initiative and the ability to think creatively
  • Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills
  • Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate & valid right to work full time in Australia
  • Flexibility to work shifts including days evenings and weekends
