Research Fellow Grade 2, Implementation Science

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is one of the largest of schools within the Heath Group and Griffith University. The School is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow Grade 2 Implementation Science who will drive impactful research in critical care through guideline development and translational/implementation research aligned with the ICU-SYNERGY program.  This position will support the Professor of Intensive Care Nursing to lead and support implementation science initiatives within the ICU-SYNERGY Program Led by Monash University.

The Research Fellow is a 50% part time fixed term position until December 2030 based at Griffith University (Gold Coast). This position will work in conjunction with ICU SYNERGY researchers located in the ANZIC Research Centre at Monash University. The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC) is a world-leading methods centre driving large-scale clinical research in critical care. From sepsis and traumatic brain injury to mechanical ventilation and ECMO the work of the ANZIC-RC has shaped intensive care practice across Australia New Zealand and beyond.

As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Research Fellow Grade 2 range $117076 - $139031 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136979 - $162667 per annum.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will

• PhD or an equivalent combination of qualifications and research experience in a relevant field (health services implementation science etc).
• Demonstrated research experience supporting health and research programs with experience in implementation science research including co-design and consumer engagement.
• A track record in the application of mixed methods approaches to analyse healthcare (or similar) data and coherently integrate the outcomes.
• Experience in developing collaborative research proposals for internal and/or external funding programs.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships together with strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to publish results and present to a range of audiences.
• Experience in clinical or research projects in intensive care which required engaging with consumers and clinicians in the conduct of research.
• A demonstrated publication history of authorship on scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and/or reports and grant applications.
• Clinical experience in intensive care is highly desirable.
