Employment type Temporary for up to 24 months with a possibility of extension.

Salary $116981 - $129492 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.

Your role

The Corrections Research Evaluation & Statistics division is looking for an experienced Research Analyst to conduct research and evaluation projects in line with key Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) operational will assist the Senior Executives and Managers in developing an evidence base for CSNSW practices and strategic objectives through accepted research statistical analysis and evaluation the support of Senior Corrections Research Evaluation and Statistics (CRES) staff you will have a central role in generating and communicating advanced data insights and statistical findings to diverse audiences.

What youll do

The successful candidate will be responsible for

• You will assist the Senior Executives and Managers in developing an evidence base for CSNSW practices and strategic objectives through accepted research statistical analysis and evaluation methodologies
• With the support of Senior CRES staff you will have a central role in generating and communicating advanced data insights and statistical findings to diverse audiences
• Design develop and implement relevant data collection instruments and effective data management processes.

What were looking for

• Proven experience in developing and conducting large scale research and evaluation projects at all stages
• Experience in managing complex datasets and conducting quantitative and qualitative statistical analysis
• Proficient in programs such as SPSS Stata Excel and SAS and completing peer-reviewed written reports
• Exceptional communication planning and organisational skills that allow you to manage multiple projects to meet competing deadlines

Essential Requirements

• Qualifications in social / behavioural sciences statistics or data sciences or equivalent experience
• Current drivers license and preparedness to drive a vehicle within NSW in the course of performing the role
