Registered Nurse Perioperative
Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Scrub Scout to join our high-performing team.
In this role you will provide evidence-based person-centred perioperative care while contributing to a safe collaborative and high-quality clinical environment. You will also take a leadership role in coordinating care and supporting Enrolled Nurses and junior staff.
You are a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse who thrives in a perioperative setting and is passionate about delivering best practice care.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (Desirable)
Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in perioperative nursing
- Strong clinical assessment planning and evaluation skills
- Ability to supervise and support ENs graduates and students
- Commitment to patient safety quality improvement and clinical excellence
- Excellent communication teamwork and time management skills
- Deliver safe high-quality person-centred perioperative care
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop care plans
- Support and guide ENs technicians and students
- Collaborate with Surgeons Anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives audits and accreditation activities
- Promote patient and staff safety in line with Healthscope standards
- Contribute to efficient theatre operations and patient flow
