Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our 30-bed Medical ward. This position will be employed on a casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscopes Gold Coast Private Hospital this is a significant milestone in Maters commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency Medical Services Orthopaedics Bariatrics Neurosurgery Plastics ENT General Surgery Obstetrics Cardiac Care and Oncology.

Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus casual loadingplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager our Registered Nurses make up a vital and respected part of the nursing team at Mater. Key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Delivering and evaluating evidencebased nursing care within your scope of practice
• Advocating for patients through education informed consent and shared decisionmaking
• Act as a patient advocate ensuring patients are informed and consent is gained prior to procedures
• Contribute to the maintenance of an environment which promotes safety security and personal integrity of individual patients and groups
• Maintain and adhere to Infection Control policies and practices
• Complies with organisational policies procedures work instructions and guidelines

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
• Minimum of 1 post grad experience working within an acute medical setting
• High level skills in problem-solving communication coordination and time management
• The ability to contribute effectively and efficiently within a busy multidisciplinary team environment
• Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving
• Available to work across all shifts
• Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communications and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and assessment data
