About the role:

Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our perioperative team on a part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

We have a Day of Surgery admission Centre as well as a Day Surgery / Endoscopy unit. There are 2 procedure rooms which are utilized primarily for endoscopy as well as minor plastics and urological procedures. Due to growth in theatre activity we are seeking a part-time Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our team.

With 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds a rehabilitation gym 7 operating theatres 2 procedure rooms a day oncology unit and an ICU Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver safe researched-based standards of nursing care
• Supervise direct and guide nursing team members; within your scope of practice to deliver exceptional patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery rehabilitation or end of life needs
• Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice

Essential Criteria:

• Authority to Work in Australia

• Working with Children check (if relevant)

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or Diploma of Nursing

• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

• Specialty scrub/scout nursing experience

• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

• Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement

• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Highly developed interpersonal skills proactive motivated and customer focused

If you are successful in the role you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and QLDNMA/ANMF- QLD Nurse and Midwives -Enterprise Agreement2022 EN salary ranging from $36.74 - $39.78 per hour to RN Salary ranging from $41.49 - $66.23 per hour.
