Registered Nurse Acute General Medical

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking compassionate and motivated Registered Nurses to join our 28-bed Acute General Medical Ward in permanent full-time and part-time positions.

Based at our Springfield campus youll be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare as Mater Hospital Springfield opened in early 2026. This state-of-the-art facility has been designed to meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield community providing a mix of public and private services across intensive care maternity emergency medical and surgical care and supporting more than 200000 patient episodes each year.

Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

As a Registered Nurse you will provide high-quality patient-centred care while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent clinical outcomes. You will:

• Deliver safe evidence-based nursing care to patients with a broad range of acute medical conditions.
• Assess plan implement and evaluate individualised patient care.
• Advocate for patients while supporting their physical emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
• Collaborate with medical allied health and nursing teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional legal and ethical standards.
• Promote patient safety by adhering to infection prevention quality improvement and organisational policies.
• Participate in mentoring students and less experienced staff while contributing to a positive team culture.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

You are a caring and adaptable Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and enjoys working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will bring:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering patient-centred evidence-based care.
• Strong clinical assessment communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced acute environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety quality and patient experience.
• Passion for continuous learning professional development and quality improvement.
• Ability to build positive relationships with patients families and colleagues while contributing to a supportive team environment.
