Registered Enrolled Nurses Day of Surgery (DOSA) Fixed Term
Job Summary
We are excited to offer a 12-month fixed-term part-time opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) team at Epworth Geelong located in Waurn Ponds. You will be responsible for providing excellence in care to pre & post operative patients requiring surgical procedures from a range of specialties including General Surgery Gastroenterology Ophthalmology Gynaecology Urology Plastics Vascular Orthopaedics ENT & Oral Maxillofacial.
You will make an impact by:
- Ensuring patients and staff are safe through their journey in surgery and recovery
- Demonstrating advanced decision-making interpersonal and communication skills
- An ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a varied multidisciplinary team
- Focus on individualised patient centred care and patient outcomes with a strong focus on family involvement
To be successful in this role:
You will bring a strong clinical skill set in a hospital setting as a trained registered nurse or enrolled nurse. You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) environment is essential
- Passion about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
- The ability to provide effective & efficient patient care within in a fast paced environment
- Accountability and the ability to demonstrate a supportive and engaging style
- Strong computer literacy including MS office iPM & BossNet
- Excellent communication skills & phone manner

The annual salary range for full time Enrolled Nurse - AUD $75737 - $82550 and Registered Nurse AUD $85732- $107669 super entitlements depending on registration type year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
