Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to join its team in Alice Springs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation servicing maintenance fault finding repair and commissioning of domestic and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
The role will involve working across a range of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment while maintaining high standards of workmanship customer service safety and professionalism.
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently when required contribute positively to the team and maintain respectful relationships with clients and co-workers.
Carry out domestic and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning installation servicing and maintenance.
Install service and maintain ducted and split-system air-conditioning systems.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment.
Inspect systems to identify defects wear and potential operational issues.
Ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV equivalent to ANZSCO Skill Level 3.
Demonstrated experience with ducted and split-system air-conditioning installation.
Demonstrated experience in domestic refrigeration and air-conditioning maintenance and servicing.
Demonstrated experience in commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning maintenance and servicing.
Strong practical knowledge of refrigeration systems and components.
Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs.
Ability to read and interpret drawings plans and specifications.
Ability to work safely with refrigeration equipment tools and systems.
Strong commitment to customer service and quality workmanship.
Experience organising mentoring or working with apprentices.
Experience across a broad range of domestic and commercial refrigeration systems.
Experience working in regional or remote environments.
Additional refrigeration air-conditioning electrical or technical certifications.
AUD 79499 per annum Superannuation.
Salary is aligned with the stated TSMIT.

Required Skills:
Key Requirements Candidate Preference: Onshore candidates preferred. For offshore candidates the client prefers candidates from the UK or Europe. Trade-qualified Electrician with a relevant electrical trade qualification. Current Australian electrical licence or equivalent recognised licence. Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical experience. Strong experience in electrical fault finding diagnostics testing servicing and repairs. Experience with commercial catering equipment is highly desirable. Good knowledge of electrical systems wiring controls components and equipment. Experience working with commercial appliances machinery or electrical equipment. Strong practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused approach with confidence working at customer sites. Good organisational and time-management skills. Reliable practical and safety-conscious approach to work. Current Australian drivers licence or equivalent. Desirable Gas experience or relevant gas licence. Forklift experience or licence. Experience in servicing commercial kitchen or catering equipment.
