We currently have a vacancy for a Temporary Records Officer(Compliance) to cover a period of parental leave through toSeptember 2027. This is a key role responsible for ensuring theCity complies with Western Australia Governments privacy andinformation sharing legislation.

To succeed in this role you will be a collaborative andproactive team player with strong communication skills. You will beconfident in using your initiative sound judgement andproblem-solving abilities to address issues as they arise. You willhave knowledge of the Privacy and Responsible Information SharingAct 2024 (WA) information classification principles and a workingknowledge of the State Records Act 2000 (WA). You will also bringexperience working with both electronic and paper-based recordsmanagement systems together with a strong understanding of recordsmanagement practices and procedures. Highly organised anddetail-oriented you will possess strong time management skills anda solution-focused approach to your work.

To be considered for this role you must address thefollowing selection criteria when completing yourapplication:

  1. Knowledge of information classification principles and of legislation practices and methods in information management privacy and information sharing including: Knowledge of the State Records Act 2000 (WA) and knowledge of the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024 (WA)
  2. Strong computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  3. Well-developed planning prioritisation and organisational skills
  4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement
  5. Experience working with both electronic and paper based records and systems and thorough understanding of records management procedures

We are offering a gross salary of $75999 perannum and:

  • 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
