PUTP Caseworker (Male identified)

This is Full-time maximum term position available until 25 June 2027 with the opportunity for an extension subject to ongoing funding.

Maranguka is seeking a dedicated Male Case Worker to join our Picking Up the Pieces program. This role provides culturally safe trauma-informed support to men who have used violence or are at risk of using violence helping them build respectful relationships take responsibility for their behaviour and create safer outcomes for themselves their families and the community.

Working alongside families partner agencies and the local community you will support positive change through one-on-one case management education and behaviour change programs.

Provide case management and practical support to men participating in the program.

Develop support plans that encourage accountability positive behaviour change and healthy relationships.

Deliver or co-facilitate education and behaviour change programs.

Work collaboratively with families community members and partner organisations to improve safety and wellbeing.

Complete case notes and maintain accurate records.

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of women and children remains central to all planning and decision-making.

• A qualification in Community Services Social Work Psychology or a related field or relevant experience.
• Experience working with individuals or families affected by domestic and family violence mental health alcohol and other drug use or other complex needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience providing case management and person-centred support.
• An understanding of culturally safe and trauma-informed practice.
• A current unrestricted drivers licence.

• Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• National Police Check

• Acompetitive hourly rate starting from $40.49 (dependent on experience skills and qualifications) This position is covered under the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
