ABOUT THE ROLE

Be a part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of clinical practice in the form of Counselling/Clinical Psychology services to the clients staff and programs of Ngala.

We are seeking for a highly motivated Registered/Clinical or Counselling Psychologist ideally with perinatal and infant mental health background on a part-time basis.

DUTIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop deliver and evaluate psycho-education and therapeutic groups for parents with infants.
• Deliver evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention for families with infants (0-5 years).
• Provide psychological advice consultation and training to Nursing/Allied Health staff as required.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will hold current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) together with the following:

• Relevant experience working with people across the lifespan with mental health conditions
• Relevant experience in supporting people from diverse backgrounds such as neurodivergent people First Nations people LGBTQ families and people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.
• Experience in providing evidence-based attachment focussed relationship-based interventions with individuals families and groups.
• Demonstrated understanding of or willingness to develop knowledge and skills in perinatal and infant mental health.
• Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to an interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated self-management skills and ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
