Property Officer

selectability is currently seeking a Property Officer to join the corporate team in Townsville. This is a full-time position reporting to the General Manager - Service Development.

The Property Officer is responsible for the effective management and maintenance of selectabilitys property portfolio. This role ensures all properties are safe compliant and well-maintained to support the organisations operations and services.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing allocated property and ensuring that break- even results are achieved
• Managing the maintenance of allocated properties
• Maintaining a positive relationship with tenancy/stakeholders of allocated properties
• Assessing financial performance of the property and taking remedial action if required to ensure targets are achieved in collaboration with stakeholders
• Ensuring that the monthly target for rental collection is achieved for the assigned properties
• Conducting regular tenancy meetings to address tenancy issues complaints enquires and overall property issues in a timely manner in collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Overseeing effective delivery of repair works for assigned properties
• Ensuring that proper exiting procedures are carried out for exiting tenants in accordance with relevant property procedures
• General administrative duties including maintaining tenancy record keeping

To be successful you must:

• Certificate in real estate or equivalent in finance economics accounting
• Experience in property or project management (highly desirable)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of employees
• Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail

• Travel to selectability sites will be required
• Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
• Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You completion certificate.
• Current minimum P1 C class Queensland drivers licence
• Roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
