This is a permanent opportunity and this role can be based anywhere within Essential Energys operational footprint. Starting salary for this role is $139192.00 plus 16.5% Superannuation.

About the role
As a Project Manager Public Lighting and Unmetered Supply youll serve as the commercial financial and technical lead responsible for the successful end-to-end management of Essential Energys Public Lighting and Unmetered Supply projects. Youll ensure project budgets revenue forecasts and investment cases are commercially sound while actively developing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including Councils and Commercial Partners to promote and deliver optimal network enhancement solutions including new smart lighting projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage financial performance against project budgets including forecasting materials and reviewing revenue across Public Lighting and Unmetered Supplies projects.
- Develop investment cases optimal estimates and capital work packages that meet stakeholder expectations.
- Analyse projects by preparing credible and detailed data to inform budgets and support future network enhancements.
- Managing and optimising end-to-end programs to ensure timely delivery and swift resolution of technical impediments.
- Lead meetings with senior council and commercial stakeholders to promote Essential Energys services including minor capital works and smart lighting projects.
- Liaise with councils and road authorities on public lighting level assessments and development of bulk LED upgrade smart lighting or unmetered supply (inc. sensors) scopes including site visits data analysis and reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in end-to-end project management within an engineering utilities or infrastructure environment with a focus on capital works delivery.
- Specialised technical advice and support related to public lighting LED rollout smart lighting or unmetered supply systems.
- Experience in financial management and accountability including managing project budgets detailed forecasting (materials/revenue) and financial performance reporting.
- Excellent relationship management negotiation and communication skills at all levels including senior management.
- Strong time management planning and organisational skills with adaptability and a focus on achieving agreed outcomes.
- Bachelor of Project Management or equivalent experience; White Card and Drivers Licence required.
