Project Manager Industrial
Job Summary
Synergie Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a key industrial recommissioning project alongside a number of smaller capital and site improvement projects in Darwin.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience across industrial processing manufacturing waste or heavy operational environments with responsibility for projects from planning through to commissioning and handover.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of capital recommissioning and improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules milestones and priorities.
- Coordinate contractors vendors materials and site resources.
- Manage project scope variations budgets and forecast costs.
- Coordinate mechanical electrical civil and operational workstreams.
- Ensure contractor documentation SWMS/JSEAs permits isolations and LOTO requirements are compliant.
- Manage project risks issues and actions.
- Work closely with Operations HSE Engineering Procurement and external contractors.
- Support commissioning safety reviews operational handover and project close-out.
- Provide regular reporting across progress costs risks and upcoming milestones.
Were looking for someone with:
- Previous Project Management experience within an industrial or heavy operational environment.
- Experience delivering brownfield capital or plant improvement projects.
- Strong contractor and vendor management skills.
- Experience managing schedules budgets variations and project risks.
- Understanding of permits isolations LOTO and contractor safety requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence and White Card.
- Relevant Engineering Construction or Project Management qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
A mechanical or process engineering background would be highly regarded as would experience across electrical automation plant commissioning or recommissioning projects.
