Defence & Security

Bureau Veritas Defence and Security business is designed to offer flexibility in service delivery enabling operations from our offices client locations or remote settings as required. We bring together the best industry and project management professionals in a team structure tailored to Defence and suited to delivering multiple projects across the country.

The Opportunity
Bureau Veritas are growing our Defence sector capability and is hiring a Project Manager to support the Estate Works Program (EWP) as part of the Project Delivery Service (PDS) ten-year contract based in Albury.

Youll be part of a collaborative and high-performing team delivering impactful infrastructure projects from planning through to our Defence team means working on meaningful projects that support strategic outcomes. Youll collaborate with a supportive and experienced team engage with a broad range of stakeholders and play a key role in delivering high-impact projects from planning through to youre looking to step up or bring your senior expertise to the table we have opportunities suited to various levels of experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Manage infrastructure projects on behalf of our client through all lifecycle stages: initiation planning execution monitoring and closure.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement.
  • Manage project documentation and reporting in line with Defence and Bureau Veritas standards.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee handover/takeover (HOTO) processes and ensure timely project closeout.
  • Capture and share lessons learned to improve future project delivery.

About You

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Engineering Construction Management).
  • A currentBaseline Security Clearance(or ability to maintain one).
  • Proven experience managing construction projects ideally within theDefence or Government sector.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such asPMBOK PRINCE2 or Agile.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
