Project Engineer Clean Lithium Technology

Play a key role in delivering the pilot plant upgrade program for a clean tech company transforming lithium refining.

This is a hands-on execution role working closely with the Project Director where youll work across technical coordination contractor management and on-site delivery to bring Novaliths technology closer to commercial scale.

WhatYoullDo

As Project Engineeryoullplancoordinateand execute the engineering and delivery activities required to complete the pilot plant trusted to drive work packages from scope definition through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver assigned work packages for the pilot plant upgrades including planning design coordination documentation site executionandhands-on problem solving.
  • Coordinate contractors suppliers and equipment vendors including scope definition technical reviews performance monitoringandinterface management.
  • Apply the project management frameworks including schedule updates cost tracking change control risk registersaction registersand progress reporting.
  • Support procurement activities including RFQs technical and commercial evaluations purchase ordersandexpediting.
  • Work with internal teams consultants contractorssuppliersand vendors to manage interfaces resolve technicalissuesand keep project deliverables moving.

Youllalso support installation pre-commissioning and commissioning activities review technical documentation maintain project records and contribute to reporting and project close-out.

WhatWereLooking For

Werelooking for a capable project engineer who enjoys hands-on delivery contractorcoordinationand seeing projects built and commissioned.

Ideallyyoullbring:

  • ABachelors Degreein a related discipline recognised by Engineers Australia ideally chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • 5 years experience in project engineering or capital projectdelivery.
  • Experience delivering projects in chemical processing minerals processing hydrometallurgy battery chemicals industrial processplantsor related sectors.
  • Experience withprocessplant upgrades brownfield works installation and commissioning and coordinating contractors on site.

Experience with Microsoft Officeincluding Project along withAutoCADor related engineering software will be valuable. Experience working within structured project management frameworks and project controls systems will be highly regarded. A current Class C Drivers License isrequired.
