Project Director for Renewable Large IPP

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead and oversee the development execution and successful delivery of a large-scale renewable Independent Power Producer (IPP) project. Responsibilities

As the Project Director you will:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the development and execution of a large-scale renewable IPP project.
• Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle including planning design permitting construction commissioning and operations.
• Manage project budgets schedules and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering procurement construction and operations to achieve project objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including government agencies regulatory bodies contractors and investors to ensure compliance and alignment with project goals.
• Identify and mitigate project risks ensuring adherence to safety environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project execution and delivery.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• A bachelors degree in engineering renewable energy project management or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
• Extensive experience (10 years) in managing large-scale renewable energy projects particularly IPPs.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies including solar wind or other clean energy solutions.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks permitting processes and environmental compliance in the renewable energy sector.
• Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• A results-driven mindset with a commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Day-to-Day

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Leading project meetings and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitoring project progress and addressing any challenges or delays.
• Reviewing and approving project plans budgets and schedules.

• Providing guidance and mentorship to project team members.
