Overview
The Program Support Officer will provide high-level program project and executive support to the Digital Transformation Program within the Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF).
This role is critical in supporting digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving community safety and operational capability across government agencies. The position operates within a complex multi-stakeholder environment and contributes to governance coordination and strategic delivery functions.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Executive Support
- Provide high-level administrative and program support to senior executives.
- Coordinate meetings prepare agendas and collate briefing materials.
- Maintain accurate records of decisions discussions and governance activities.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare high-quality briefs reports submissions and correspondence.
- Support executive decision-making through clear structured documentation.
Project & Strategy Support
- Assist in the development and implementation of digital transformation initiatives.
- Support projects arising from Cabinet directives corporate plans and governance boards.
- Monitor program progress dependencies and alignment across multiple initiatives.
Policy & Research
- Undertake research and contribute to policy development and analysis.
- Support implementation and evaluation of government initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide clear impartial advice to senior executives and project teams.
Team Contribution
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
- Contribute ideas and continuous improvement initiatives within the program.
