The College is seeking an outstanding and experienced Program Coordinator Basketball to lead our Basketball Program. This maximum-term opportunity is ideal for a passionate coach who is committed to developing young athletes fostering a culture of excellence and contributing positively to a leading independent school sporting program. While this role is offered on a maximum-term basis the term is negotiable for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Director of Co-Curriculum via the Head of Sport (Secondary) and Head of Sport (Regis) the Program Coordinator Basketball will lead and oversee the whole-of-College Basketball Program from Years 5 to 12. The successful candidate will coach and develop the Colleges coaching team coordinate the placement and progression of students across all age groups and teams and work closely with age group coordinators team coaches the 1st V Coach the Sport and Activities Administration Officer the Head of Sport and the Director of Co-Curriculum to build a positive high-performance environment in which students develop their skills character teamwork and love of the game.

The successful candidate will:
Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of basketball coaching and program management.
Demonstrate high-level administration and organisational skills.
Have experience coordinating large sporting programs including fixtures staffing and logistics.
Be experienced in the financial management of budgets.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and a capacity to develop a climate of trust and mutual respect with colleagues students and parents.
Demonstrate the ability to recruit develop and support coaching staff.
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the Mission and Values of the College.
Hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.
