Product Designer (Mobile) 3 Month Daily Rate Contract

This is a 3-month daily rate contract suited to an experienced Product Designer who is passionate about mobile UX design craft and delivering outcomes at scale.

Your role with us

This role will focus on the end-to-end design of Stakes native iOS and Android applications translating complex web experiences into intuitive high-performing mobile interactions. Youll leverage your expertise in mobile UX accessibility and platform conventions to create experiences that feel truly native while maintaining consistency with the broader Stake ecosystem.

Working closely with Product Design and Engineering teams youll contribute to mobile initiatives help refine user journeys and deliver high-quality experiences that align with both user needs and business goals.

• Own end-to-end design for Stakes mobile applications from discovery through to delivery and iteration.
• Translate web-based features and flows into intuitive native mobile experiences (iOS and Android).
• Adapt web patterns to suit mobile interaction models constraints and user behaviours.
• Ensure strong UX and UI craft aligned with platform guidelines (iOS/Android) accessibility and performance best practices.
• Use research data and experimentation to validate design decisions and improve user outcomes.
• Present design work clearly to stakeholders articulating rationale trade-offs and expected impact.
• Work closely with Product Design teams to deeply understand existing platform experiences and ensure consistency where appropriate.
• Align design patterns systems and user journeys across platforms while respecting platform-specific differences.
• Own delivery within the mobile domain ensuring timelines scope and quality benchmarks are met.
• Design for scale performance and international audiences.
• Set a high bar for mobile design quality through reviews feedback and hands-on contribution.
• Contribute to the evolution of design systems to support both web and mobile consistency.
• Help foster an inclusive curious and collaborative environment where great ideas can thrive.

• 10 years of product design experience with strong ownership of complex end-to-end projects.
• Proven experience designing native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android) at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to translate web products into mobile app experiences with a strong understanding of cross-platform design considerations.
• Deep knowledge of mobile UX patterns accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and performance constraints.
• Strong UX and UI craft with attention to detail in interaction design and usability.
• Experience working closely with product design teams to align cross-platform experiences and design systems.
• Strategic and analytical mindset able to connect design decisions to product and business outcomes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma including component systems and scalable design practices.
• Experience collaborating with engineering on implementation handoff and QA.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced cross-functional environments across multiple teams and locations.

• Interest or exposure to gaming or emerging technologies (e.g. AI)
• Proficient with Google Suite (Drive Spreadsheets Docs) Slack Jira
