Join the NSW Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) and play a pivotal role in driving digital innovation that protects our environment supports communities and enables a sustainable net-zero future.

As a Principal Solution Architect youll lead the design of enterprise-grade technology solutions that underpin critical conservation heritage and regulatory programs including biodiversity initiatives and wildlife licensing services. This will include:

  • Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures aligned to enterprise standards and roadmaps
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable future-ready technology solutions
  • Partner with stakeholders across business and IT to ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver value
  • Provide expert input into technology investment decisions and enterprise architecture strategy
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to integrate best-in-class solutions
  • Champion innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and modern delivery practices

About You

You bring proven experience as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments underpinned by strong knowledge of cloud platforms SOA/ESB application architecture using Microsoft Salesforce or other contemporary technology and Agile delivery methodologies. You have demonstrated expertise in modelling solutions across application data and technology layers and possess the ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders by translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. Your experience spans the full software development lifecycle and a TOGAF certification (or equivalent) is highly regarded.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
