Join a high-performing team responsible for driving strategic partnerships and investment opportunities that support biodiversity conservation outcomes across this influential role you will lead the development and implementation of partnership frameworks governance arrangements and co-investment initiatives that strengthen the delivery of the Biodiversity Conservation Program.

Working across government industry research institutions Aboriginal organisations landholders philanthropic partners and the community sector you will identify and cultivate strategic relationships that deliver meaningful conservation outcomes. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders negotiate complex partnership agreements secure funding opportunities and lead initiatives that support the long-term sustainability of biodiversity conservation programs. This is a collaborative role within a team that values innovation relationship-building and delivering positive outcomes for the environment and communities across NSW.

About You

You are a strategic and commercially minded partnerships professional with a proven ability to influence negotiate and build lasting relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience developing and managing strategic partnerships collaborative delivery models and co-investment opportunities.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships across government industry research institutions Aboriginal organisations and community stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder engagement negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to navigate complex and competing priorities.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks partnership agreements and performance monitoring processes.
• Proven ability to identify and secure investment funding or co-funding opportunities that deliver organisational outcomes.
• Strong project leadership skills including managing complex initiatives risks resources and reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide strategic advice and present complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
• An understanding of biodiversity conservation environmental policy natural resource management or related sectors will be highly regarded.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in business management administration or a related discipline.

Essential Requirements

• A relevant degree or equivalent in business management and/or administration.
• NSW drivers licence and willingness to travel

The Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water(DCCEEW) works to protect the states environment and heritage. It leads the way on climate change driving the sustainable transition to a net zero economy powered by affordable reliable and clean energy.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
